Al rehab choco musk12/17/2023 I just took a waft from my wrist and the impression I got was hot chocolate topped with high quality vanilla laced whipped cream. It smells like chocolate/vanilla candy/cookies/cake. It's not what you'd think of as a refined fragrance on its own. It also smells more refined, at least in relation to Palmer's cocoa butter. Choco Musk smells like a chocolatier version of Palmer's cocoa butter but with the vanilla amped up as well. In fact, it's getting more mellow and less sharp the longer it sits on my skin. Choco Musk isn't showing any signs of going sour or becoming funky. Even in the winter, it seems after it gets on skin, it starts to sour. The thing about Palmer's is that after a time (especially in the humid climate where I live) it would start to sour and smell a bit funky. The scent actually reminds me of Palmer's Cocoa Butter skin lotion. Maybe they reformulated it with all the feedback they're receiving via the internets? I put it on about 2.5 hours ago and the chocolate hasn't waned a bit. So many reviews of this (not just this thread) say it's mainly vanilla with a drizzle of chocolate but not what I have. I don't know if batches of this are different but I'm detecting a strong milk chocolate note in this. And on top of THAT, this stuff costs 3 bucks! On top of that, this has great projection and longevity. I'm glad I've found my favorite vanilla scent. Yeeeeeey! I hate musk, so I'm really happy with that. Where the hell is the chocolate in this?Īnother thing I noticed during the day was that I didn't actually smell any musk in this. No one mentioned anything about chocolate, everybody was smelling only vanilla on me. I did in fact receive some compliments during the day. With that being said, this is perfect on men as it is on women. It's not the natural vanilla bean type of smell, it's more on the sweet and sugary side of things, without being girly at all. A huge + is that this doesn't smell synthetic at all! The fragrance doesn't develop, which I like since the scent you get is from the first minute is to die for! Again, this one is for vanilla lovers. It sadly didn't last THAT long on me, but it does indeed last quite well. I've been hearing so many people getting over 24 hours with this one. More than that, chances are you might start hating the scent as it may choke you more than the others and you WILL get a headache. These are highly synthetic and low/moderate application is the key, even with that much you will be noticed. If your using the roll on, unscrew the cap, roll the roller in your right or left palm in a circular motion about 5-6 times, rub both your palms together and rub them on your shirt, for additional effect, also rub your fingers on/behind your earlobes. If you must buy them, i'll tell you the way to wear it, the way a few of my friends who use attar regularly, wear it (concentrated perfume oil in my opinion is just another way of saying attar). Got me a bit paranoid thereon as obviously the quality was trash and just a mess of chemicals without any governing body to restrict them. Not really, i have not used the montale, but im sure its way better than this, the montale is more on milky coco chocolate side, while this is plain old synthetic chocolate for 20 mins and vanilla from thereon.Īlso, i dont know about the spray version, but i got some chocomusk in direct contact with my skin, i felt as if it singed off my arm hair.
